About me
Hi there! I’m Karst and I’m passionate about science communication. For me, this means turning research into understandable and attractive stories. Thanks for paying a visit to my website. Most of the content is in Dutch, as I work mainly for universities in the Netherlands. My goal is to make science more visible and to give researchers the exposure that they deserve. In practice, this means I interview a lot of (PhD-)researchers and connect them to Dutch news outlets.
Stories & tips
I want to help all researchers to make their research more visible. That’s why I often share interviews and other content at my Stories & tips page. This content is (partly) in English. In one of the articles, I interviewed menstrual health researcher Maria Carmen Punzi. She has over 3.000 followers on both Instagram and LinkedIn. In the interview, she shares do’s and don’ts for scientists who want to be more active on social media.
Workshops
For small groups of researchers, I provide 2 -3 hour workshops. The workshops help improve communication skills and the visibility of research. You can find a description of the workshops here. The program can be adjusted to your preferences.
